Statistics in Horse Racing
Statistical information can be very beneficial when evaluating the success rate of the Jockeys, Trainers, and Horses.
Each Horse's selection will bring to view all the statistics as seen below for that horse. Each the Lifetime Records, Current Year Record, and the Previous Year Record are in order from left to right; Starts, Wins, Places, Shows, Earnings. Next, the Run Style, which is how the horse typically runs a race and will be one of the following; ’E’ (or Early), ’E/P’ (Early/Presser), ’P’ (or Presser), ’S’ (Sustain or Closer), or ’NA’ (or Not Available). For more in-depth information on running styles see the ‘Legend” section. Next, the Recent Finishes, these are the horse’s last four finish positions in order from left to right with the most recent starting at left. Finally, the Last Workout, which is the year, month, and day of the horse’s last workout.
Each Jockey’s selection will bring to view all the statistics as seen below for that jockey. Each the Current Meet, Current Year, and the Previous Year are in order from left to right; Starts, Wins, Places, Shows, ROI (return on investment).
